Target Field Project
Woodland is the proud supplier of the firepit and 3 fireplaces at the new Target Field ballpark. We were commissioned to supply two Montigo 5' custom C-View Peninsula fireplaces for the Legends Clubs and a huge 9' Montigo C-View custom see-through fireplace in the Champions Club. These fireplaces feature "Cool-Pack" glass, which uses two separate sheets of tempered glass and small blowers to blow air between them (this keeps the outside glass temperatures around 110 degrees). They are also power-vented which gives almost unlimited venting possibilities. These fireplaces were chosen for this project mainly for their clean contemporary lines, the unique "ribbon burner", the safety aspect of the Cool-Pack glass, and the fact that Montigo can build them in many custom sizes and configurations.

Visitors to the new Twins ballpark will also notice a mammoth firepit over the left field wall, on the Budweiser Roof Deck. This is not your typical backyard firepit; it has the capability of putting out over 2,000,000 BTU's. This 14' by 5' firepit has over 1,000 pounds of 1/2" Starfire glass and 750 pounds of 1/4" lava granules. It features a stainless steel burner pan and burner tube. This firepit project was presented to us almost as an afterthought when we were finishing up with the fireplaces in the clubs, but it turned out to be the most challenging part of this whole project. Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors did the installations.
