$300 TAX CREDIT IS BACK!!!
Great news! The recently passed American Taxpayer Relief Act includes a bill that extends the tax credit towards biomass (translate: wood and pellet) burning appliances.

What does this mean?
This means you may be eligible for a 10% tax credit of up to $300 on qualifying wood and pellet stoves. Credit applies to the purchase price only and does not include installation.

Which models qualify?
MOST WOOD STOVES AND INSERTS THAT WOODLAND SELLS QUALIFY

What are the eligible dates?
You can apply for the tax credit on any qualifying purchase made:
January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2013

Please be aware that this tax credit is an extension of the previous Residential Energy Credit bills that date back to 2008. There is a “lifetime limit” of $500 on this credit. Please understand that previous purchases or home upgrades that were claimed on the IRS Residential Energy Credit form may affect their current eligibility.
